Your West Innovation Fund recipients for April 2025!
We are thrilled to announce the recipients of The Trust’s second Innovation Fund funding round.
This initiative aims to support and nurture innovative projects that contribute to community wellbeing and primary education. After careful consideration, we have selected the following organisations and projects to receive funding:
The Your West Innovation Fund supports groundbreaking initiatives with the potential to create a significant long-term impact. This round received 38 applications with a total value of $2,237,339.42. Funding for the Innovation Fund was provided through a contribution of $225,000 from Waitākere Licensing Trust (WLT) and $125,000 from Portage Licensing Trust (PLT).
The funding was allocated across the following sectors:
Community Wellbeing: $45,000.00 (13%)
Culture and Arts: $5,000.00 (1%)
Education: $114,585.00 (33%)
Environment: $60,000.00 (17%)
Social Services: $125,433.30 (36%)
