If you have one of the free first aid kits issued recently by the Trusts, please read this.

We apologise that we have an issue with a component of our First Aid Kits.  We have been alerted today to a potential problem with floating particles in the saline solution provided in the kit.

Safety is our priority and you don’t mess around with a first aid kit. So, we’re asking you to open your kit, take out the two vials of saline solution. Remove the vials even if they look perfectly clear.

We are working with our suppliers, USL Medical and they will be getting the saline solution tested. It is too early to have any test results, but we think an abundance of caution is a good idea.

Please do not discard the vials at this point. If our supplier needs to initiate a product recall they may need to demonstrate they have retrieved the affected product. We will let you know what to do if this happens.

Saline solutions are most often used to clean wounds or flush debris out of the eye. If by any chance you have used your solutions already and are worried, please talk to your GP or health professional.

We will of course replace the solution.  Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we will issue replacement saline as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we are not exchanging vouchers for kits until we are 100% confident that we have this sorted. You will still get your kit – just not yet. If you haven’t received a voucher yet, you can request one here.

    • We also did not get a voucher-no-one I know did….Why don’t you simply use the” plus points” data base and send them out?…also,the form would not accept my name and address.

  2. I also didn’t receive a voucher however I went into one of your liquor outlets and produced a recent
    power account verifying my details and I was given the first-aid kit.

    It’s a really good first-aid kit with everything one requires if an accident should happen. There’s even a face mask if required for resuscitation. There’s even space for anything extra one might want to put into the kit. The hard case is an added extra.

    Thanks for the heads up on the saline solution. I checked mine on the weekend, and yeah, definitely floaties in there!
    Will wait for the replacement.
    Thanks for the kit though, very handy with two young boys that are continually hurting themselves.
