Your feedback helps us improve the way we support our communities. If you have a suggestion on how we could improve our retail stores or hospitality venues, we’d love to hear from you. We know our communities are full of clever people with clever ideas. If there’s a useful item you would like us to consider donating in the future, let us know. Your idea could have a meaningful impact. We’re also here to help with any questions or feedback you have regarding our community support or how we operate.

Kai Avondale nourishes bodies and builds connections across the Avondale community. Managed by I Love Avondale, the initiative brings together food programmes that support people facing short- and long-term food insecurity and the need for connection.

Through Feed the Streets and the Free Guys social pantry, thousands of locals receive free, nutritious meals each year. In 2025 alone, more than 4,000 people enjoyed a two-course community meal, while nearly 6,000 food parcels and 7,200 ready-to-eat meals were shared.

Powered by passionate volunteers, community support and $11,800 in Trusts funding, Kai Avondale continues to bring people together around good food and shared connection.

    Whānau Āwhina Plunket need volunteers!

Their Volunteer Home Visiting Programme provides help in the home in those tough early days with a newborn. From a māmā facing mental health issues while caring for their baby to parents struggling to juggle multiple tamariki and those who are new to West Auckland finding it hard to settle in, Plunket are right there to lend a hand or a listening ear.

This in-home support needs volunteers to make it work. If helping young families right where they need it sounds like you, enquire today at https://www.plunket.org.nz/support-plunket/volunteer/
